Thanks…
With the publication of our OFSTED report to the local newspaper recently, it has been a tricky week as a Headteacher of our school. Fortunately, our community has demonstrated our positivity and I want to thank the parents/carers who took the time to comment positively on our school when the local paper shared their headline to social media. You will never understand how much the positive messages mean for our staff. Thanks so much.
Sporting news..
This week, our children have represented school in athletics and cricket. Further news on these events will be shared next week.
Good luck…
A huge good luck from the Northstead Community to all of our children who are playing in a football tournament over the weekend. I can’t wait to hear about how you have got on over the weekend!
Staffing news…
Miss Hatton (Y5 Teacher)
Miss Hatton will be leaving her role with us as of Friday 7th June. Mrs Hatton has had a significant impact on our school, not least demonstrating to us the possibilities of drama for the children in our school. We thank her for the contribution she has made to our community and know that she will flourish in her new role.
News on the class teacher for class 18 from June 10th will be shared with parents as soon as all details are finalised.
Miss Galinski / Miss Seeley
Miss Seeley and Miss Galinski will return to school soon after half term following their maternity leave. We look forward to them rejoining the team. Miss Seeley will be working in year 3 and Miss Galinski in year 5.
New Appointments for September
Following a recent selection process, I am delighted to let our community know that Mrs Rachel Ogle and Mrs Katy Hopper will be joining our staff team in September.
Thanks year one team!
A big thanks to the Y1 team for the amazing writing that the children have produced based on the book ‘Lost and Found’. To see our children in year one using vocabulary such as ‘crestfallen’ and ‘sorrowful’ just shows the amazing writing teaching that is going on in our school.
School Council Raffle
Many thanks to everyone who returned their raffle tickets. The money raised has enabled school council to purchase two buddy benches for our school playground.
