A first for me this week in school. It was amazing to be joined by one of our AV robots in our Star of the Week assembly to enable one of our children to join assembly from home. Her star of the week for her work in her learning journal was so well deserved! Well done Evie of 3RB.
Thanks again for helping school to improve attendance. It may be small gains, but our overall percentage attendance for the year continued to go up and we now stand at 93.14% having been at 92.86% at the end of the Autumn term.
Well done 5CD! We recently had a North Yorkshire TT Rockstars tournament and 5CD as a class won the whole tournament! What a magnificent achievement and something to be very proud of as a class and as a school.
Learning Journals – It has been amazing to see so many incredible learning journals in school this week. Mrs Clubley has been overwhelmed with so many amazing pieces of home learning! Keep it up everyone! Learning at home compliments working at school and demonstrates to the children the importance of working hard and being the best you can be.
A big thanks to FONS for organising our Easter Family Event yesterday. I still can’t believe the bunny rabbit was called Mr Hopper as well! Hope all those who participated enjoyed the treasure hunt and their prize of a chocolate egg. Also, a big well done to those children who won the colouring competition! The prized looked amazing!
A big thanks to our inclusion and safeguarding team who organised a brilliant event for our families on Wednesday morning. We do hope that those who attended found it very beneficial for themselves and their families.
Y5/6 – Mobile phones – Whilst we appreciate mobile phones are needed for children to communicate, particularly if they are walking home independently, please ensure your child knows our rules around phones. Immediately upon entering school, they should be handed to an adult for safekeeping. Any child found with a phone on their person, in their bag or coat will be confiscated and parents called to collect it. Thanks for your support with this matter.
Next term as a school, we will move into the term where we begin to study British History. Curriculum newsletters about this will be shared after the Easter holidays.
Please also remember to book a parent’s evening appointment using the link sent via email to you.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership.
